About the City
Stratford Ontario
Stratford is known as a community that cares. Whether it's local church groups, health and hospital care programs, or even the active police community services unit that offers innovative programs to a variety of demographics, there is always someone looking after your best interests in the city of Stratford.
Information on these groups can all be found on the City of Stratford website, but take a look at just a taste of what the city has to offer.
The Stratford City Centre Committee is devoted to keeping downtown Stratford an inviting and beautiful place to experience. Home to restaurants, bakeries, shops, galleries and more, Stratford's downtown is conveniently accessible on foot or through the city's transit system.
Outside of downtown, Stratford is home to acres of parks and natural areas, equipped with walking and hiking trails as well as park benches and tables for enjoying a relaxing break or a meal. Upper Queen's Park, one of the city's highlights, offers a beautiful view of Lake Victoria and is a great destination for canoers and paddlers, as well as those interested in taking guided tours aboard "The Juliet". From the shorelines, viewers can also take in the sights and sounds of the H.M.S. Razz Ma Jazz as it moves up and down the lake.
Stratford is a community built on the premise of getting people out and enjoying the things you love. The Stratford Lakeside Seniors' Association, making its home in the Kiwanis Community Centre Complex, is a great place to start if you're interested in meeting new people and getting involved in a variety of activities, from euchre and bingo to fitness, tai chi and much more.
